Well as far as this newsletter I thought I would try to touch on back to school ideas. These supplements I think would be helpful for adults as well.
DHA: The predominant fatty acid in the brain, nervous system, and retina of humans is DHA, an omega-3 fatty acid. DHA is necessary for fetal and infantile neurological development during pregnancy and lactation. DHA also helps support neurological function in seniors. I can speak on a personally level about this. I started giving to this to my 8 year old a month ago and I already can start seeing a little change. She has only been on it a month and a little change is better then none at all. This comes in a capsule, chewable and liquid. We carry DHA in the following companies Jarrow, Renew Life and Nordic Naturals.
Attend: Vaxa’s Attend is a safe, homeopathic medicinal specifically engineered to help support the function of the Central Nervous System (CNS) of individuals who are inclined to be inattentive, under- and/or overactive and perhaps learning impaired, enabling the body to balance both neural growth and neurotransmitter production within the Brain and Central Nervous System.
Fish Oil: Helps with memory, fatigue Dry skin, eczema, poor immune system and, heart. Fish oils come in capsules and liquid. When you are researching good fish oils check out these companies: Nordic Natural, Renew Life and Health from the Sea.
Don’t forget to always include a good multivitamin in your regimen of supplements. A multi will give you a broad spectrum of your vitamins and herbs. Check out companies like New Chapter, Garden of Life, Country Life and Soloray.
August is the time of year to start boosting your immune system. One thing that I really think is a key factor in boosting your immune system is Dr. Fierro’s Bio Defense. This supplement can be taken everyday for prevention and you up the dose on the onset of catching a cold or flu or even just being around someone that maybe sick already. Don’t forget about Echinacea and astragalus. Never hurts to add a whole food vitamin C to this regimen. Olive Leaf – a compound found in olive leaves that splits bacteria and viruses DNA, preventing it from reproducing and spreading its disease.
Beta 1, 3 Glucan – made from purified yeast and thought to be the most powerful “activator” to mobilize our own immune system to “go on the attack”.
MSM – Methysulfonylmethane is found in mothers’ milk, fruits and vegetables. MSM has many health benefits. In fighting bacteria and viruses it provides natural sulfur, the specific antioxidant that protects our white blood cells. New Chapter’s Immunity Take Care: This gets in blood stream less then 30 minutes and is used to help support the immune system
Probiotics: No one and I mean no one can get to much probiotics. There are two really good companies to look at when looking for a probiotic and that is Renew Life and New Chapter. Renew Life has four different ones, depending on what you may be dealing with. They have one which is a 200 billion that targets the top and the bottom part of the stomach. The top part of the stomach does get much attention so this is one to take at least four times a year incase you are dealing with some serious ongoing problems. Any time you buy a probiotic make sure that you purchase it from a refrigerated section not on a shelf.
Zinc Food Complex (New Chapter) Helps support immune function and helps with energy level. Another great thing about this whole food zinc is that you won’t get an upset stomach. Holy Basil: This helps promote a positive stress response also, adds in reducing the cortisol levels.
